After 22 years, our honeymoon, we are back at the beautiful located hotel. The views are amazing, the hospitality is, as 22 years ago, wonderful. This hidden place is really great for sure we will come back again. The service, tips and information given is outstanding. For sure we will come back.

Stunning location with views across the Forth to Edinburgh. We sat for hours with binoculars watching the ships and birds with the city in the distance. The station which is a short coastal path walk away whisked us into Edinburgh Waverley in around half an hour.
Old building with masses of history but bedroom had all the modern conveniences expected. Delicious large (continental) breakfast provided in bedroom, with local breads and cakes.
Very relaxing, quiet, peaceful stay. Attentive and helpful hosts & staff.
Extremely good value.
The restaurant is excellent, very popular and booking essential.
The gardens and surrounding areas are beautiful, great for walking.

Room tip: Room #3 excellent

Stayed here for two nights in April and had a wonderful time.
The accommodation (we had an en-suite room) as very clean and comfortable and the views from each room are amazing.
It's in a great location right by the Fife Coastal path so very handy for great walks and the views across to Edinburgh are just breathtaking. We were so lucky with the weather so got to see some amazing sunsets which was an added bonus.
Breakfast, whilst continental is more than ample with plenty of choice and lovely fresh bread/pastries and fruit. They even organised soya and almond lmilk for us at short notice as we had forgotten to ask for it in advance.
We had dinner in the restaurant both nights and I have to say it was some of the nicest food I have eaten for a long while with lovely little additional touches courtesy of the chef. It's fresh, delicious and extremely well cooked.
Both Hannah and her mum were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Bliss was sitting in the gardens with a nice chilled glass of wine taking in the lovely views and stroking the hotel's dog who is so sweet.
My only slight negative comment is that the decor is a little dated and tired and it could probably do with a bit of face lift but that doesn't detract from how much we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely go back.

Room tip: Not all rooms are en-suite

Totally unique combination of amazing location, old fashioned home comforts in historic building and surroundings, with modern day facilities. So sorry to have stayed on the 2 days per week that the highly awarded restaurant is closed. It is extraordinary to find somewhere so calm, peaceful and picturesque with clear views of Edinburgh city which is a convenient 30 minute train ride away. Owner and family very welcoming, should have stayed longer, will return. No cooked breakfast option but continental selection excellent and wide ranging.

Room tip: We loved room 3, amazing views
