Having stayed at the hotel for one night as guests of a wedding it was a brief stay in the actual room itself.
The room itself was adequate with free tea and coffee with shortbread and free Wi-Fi was good to see. The bed was comfy and the bathroom adequate, although the lights were quite dim.
My wife and I brought had brought our young son with us and we were supplied with a travel cot even if it took up quite a large portion of the room it served its purpose. The main problem however, was with the access to the room itself, through numerous sets of doors of which some pulled open while others had to be pushed. There was also a small flight of approximately 3/4 steps up to the room level as well as the large flight of stairs down from reception and the main hall (although disabled lifts were available). Unfortunately we had a pram and trying to overcome these obstacles was a two person job, made even harder late at night.
Breakfast was as nice and as expected, a full fry or cereal, bread etc, and the usual drinks.
The wedding reception was lovely including the meal which we enjoyed. If access had of been easier for parents with a pram/buggy I would have no problem with the hotel.
