“Absolutely Lovely”
Reviewed 12 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

This beautiful cottage is all that you would want it to be, quirky and characterful, but well equipped, comfortable and cosy. Fantastic inglenook fireplace with very authentic-looking log fire, mercifully powered by gas! No parking outside the cottage but the car park is a short walk away and there is a permit space attached to the rental.

We would very much like to visit again.

“Very comfortable cottage”
Reviewed 4 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Hill View is a real treasure. The cottage is of reasonable size given its age and listed status, and has all the necessary comforts in an amazing location. The furnishings were all very comfy (especially the bed!) and the kitchen well appointed.

Parking was straightforward with the main car park being just a short walk from the cottage, but worth bearing in mind when carrying shopping that it's not directly by the cottage itself.

Like most buildings of this type the doors are low but the ceilings thankfully not - I did smack my head a couple of times coming out though!

“Charming little cottage in a perfect location”
Reviewed 4 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Charming little cottage full of character, including slopey floors and stairs. Husband and I stayed with our 3 boys, (9, 5, and 7m). Good travel cot and high chair provided. Kitchen fully equipped if tiny work surface area. Shower only (so take your baby bath if you use one), but nice and powerful and hot. Nice sized enclosed rear garden, safe for kids to play. Beds very comfy and whole place thoroughly clean. Great location, 5min walk to village square and entrance to the castle, popular bakery providing order-able croissants etc each morning, village has well stocked grocery shop. No parking at cottage, but owner provides free parking pass for car park across street. Owners welcome letter clear, informative and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
