We stopped here after walking from Lyme Regis. We spent a pleasant hour in the garden with a beer and chips

The food was good value and tasty and the portions were generous. The staff were all pleasant and the service was efficient.

Surly landlord, mediocre food and rude jobsworth barman. Go to the Royal Oak up the road for excellent food and very friendly staff.

Busy there but No excuse for waiting 1 hour 17 mins for meal after ordering. Meals arrived with chips instead of full salad as ordered. Ranch burger tough as my old boots. Chicken burger shrivelled up and dry. Teaspoon of coleslaw and burnt onion rings. Chips which we didn't order anyway were cold and dried up. Waiter not interested when comment made. Used nappy on sink in ladies. Won't be going there again.

Had a lunchtime meal here and although my soup needed heating up it was very tasty. The ploughmans was good although a bit more like a big cheese salad. The staff were very friendly and happy to serve us even though 8 of us arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen shut. Nice big garden and dog friendly.
