We have visited Highlands End a few times and think the refurb on Martin's Bar has come along nicely... Still keeping on theme with Fire Brigade/Engines. Our food this visit was generous and well cooked, drinks were of a good quality too... Rest assured, we will be back!

Martin's bar and restaurant have just launched their new menu and we are loving it. We tried the ranch burger and the pulled pork. The ranch burger is a burger with cheese and bacon in a brioche bun served with onion rings, chips and coleslaw.
The pulled pork burger is a burger topped with cider spiced pulled pork and caramelised onions, again served with chips and coleslaw.
Good sized portions and we are loving the burgers!
We have also had a Sunday lunch here recently and again the quality is superb, you can tell that they are using all fresh ingredients and using local products too.
I would highly recomend eating here if you are staying either on the site or locally, but be warned that it will get busy later in the tourist season, so booking for a sunday lunch may be necassary. Well worth the trip out of town. We will be visiting again.

Excellent Sunday lunch - quick service with plenty of good quality food. Love the refurbished restaurant with the exception of the chairs that are really uncomfortable, luckily I was able to sit on a scatter cushion! Perhaps more comfortable seating would encourage visitors to stay longer and therefore spend more?

We enjoyed a tasty meal here whilst staying at campsite. Good service too from pleasant barman and waiter. My only reason for not giving 5/5 is I think a little over priced.

Thank you for your review Diane, we're pleased you enjoyed your meal with us. We have just launched our menu and have tried very much to stay as competitively priced as we can, with our main course meals from £8.95 - we are very proud to be using very local suppliers for the majority of our ingredients on our menu and our bar - including the butchers from Bridport, and Palmers Brewery just a mile away from us - this does cost us a little more than using National suppliers but we think it's worth it! We hope you agree!
We hope we can look forward to welcoming you again in the near future.

Wholesome, rather than fussy food. Large portions. All well cooked & served promptly by pleasant staff. Slightly limited menu, as we were out of season- no specials on offer in midweek. Full of quirky fire brigade memorabilia.
