Description: We serve the finest Palmer's Ales and fantastic food with ingredients sourced from the best local producers. Our cliff top terrace comfortably seats 100 and the views are arguably some of the best in the country, if not the world!During the summer months we serve a great selection of fresh fish & shellfish caught from West Bay and Weymouth, and lobsters straight from our beach! In winter, the emphasis changes to hearty stews, slow cooked meats and watching the storm waves crash in with the comfort of our roaring wood burner. So whether you're after a light bite, a full on lunch or dinner, or just a pint or two, then The Anchor Inn at Seatown is the place for you!!

While on Holiday in Dorset my family and I had dinner at The Anchor! When we arrived we were asked if we had a booking which we did not but this did not create a problem and we were quickly seated! Bar tender was very friendly with my son as we got drinks as the table was prepared for us!
The food took a little longer then expected to be ready/delivered but did not disappoint when it arrived! 2 of us had the sirloin steak which was good. Mine was well done and slightly tough but overall tasty! My husband had the scallops which he enjoyed and I tried (my first time eating scallops) and agreed they were nice! Staff were all friendly and service was great. Really great atmosphere! Was a little disappointed there was no changing table in the toilets to change the baby on and had to change her in the car. An expensive restaurant but a nice treat on our last night on holiday before headed home.

We were on holiday and chose to have three (separate!) lunches at this pub because we liked it so much. The fish specials are excellent but you need to choose your meal early as they will run out of some dishes if they are busy (which they normally are). The food on the main menu is more 'hit and miss' - the blade of beef with macaroni is actually a plate of macaroni with bits of beef in it, so slightly misleading in terms of the predominant food. The beer is excellent. It's not a cheap place to eat, but then pubs with good food are charging restaurant prices. They were happy to let us bring in our two big dogs (there are lots of doggies there). The best thing about the pub is its location, which is fantastic. A very memorable experience.
