“Really comfortable cottage in delightful surroundings”
Reviewed 11 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Spent a week there with my wife and 2-year-old daughter. Duck Street Cottage is full of character but also comfortable and spacious. Symondsbury is quiet and has lovely walks from the door.

There is a pub but no shop...you need to go to Bridport a couple of miles away to get provisions.

“Delightful cottage in a perfect location.”
Reviewed 19 March 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Had a fantastic four night break in Duck Street Cottage. It was warm and cosy on our arrival and the basket of goodies was a lovely touch.
The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished with a well equipped kitchen. Lots of fluffy towels and bathrobes! Lovely enclosed garden for our little dog too.
The village of Symondsbury is close to lots of super beaches (we visited six beaches in our short break and climbed to the Golden Cap! )
The local pub was good for a meal on a cold, windy night !
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely cottage and will definitely be back ........

“Romantic Getaway”
Reviewed 18 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

This was the perfect romantic getaway break. The housekeeper was lovely and really helpful and we had no problems at all.
The cottage was well equiped and cosy but felt light and spacious. The bed was very comfy and being such a quiet location I dont think have ever slept so soundly.
The local pub is a great distraction - with good pub food and a roaring fire.
If you want to get away from it all but have a little bit of extra then Duck Cottage is ideal

“Fantastic cottage top quality and friendly welcome”
Reviewed 22 January 2013 for a stay in January 2013

Having previously stayed at The Old Post Office we decided to book this smaller cottage as we enjoyed our previous visit in 2011. The cottage is warm and cosy including a traditional log burner. The accommodation is clean and top quality and the bedroom, along with huge comfy bed and first class linen unbeatable. The decor is beautiful and the garden a little gem, the snowdrops were just appearing during our stay. The welcome pack was a lovely thought and the housekeeper was on call if any problems . We often come to this area as the beaches are beautiful even in winter and local people in the village very welcoming especially in the pub. Bridport a short drive and convenient for food.

“Cosy comfort in a beautiful historic Dorset village”
Reviewed 5 December 2012 for a stay in December 2012

The cottage was very comfortable for the two of us. The kitchen is very well equipped, the lounger diner very cosy. Fully central heated although we made full use of the log- burning stove. The bedroom and bathroom have been beautifully refurbished and quality linen, towels and robes provided. The cottage is located in the lovely small, quiet village of Symondsbury just one mile from the bustling market town of Bridport. Lots of great walks from the door or easy access to the coastal path but you do need a car for shopping. There is also a friendly pub in the village to sample the local beer . The housekeeper was really helpful and we loved the welcome basket of local produce.
