“Lovely apartment, great location”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I'm only now getting the time to write a review about the lovely weekend we spent in 3 Narracott Apartment. As other people have mentioned, there is building work going on at the moment but we were not disturbed by the builders either in the morning or any other time, so it did not really impact us.
We had a fantastic three days in this roomy apartment, which is a very short walk from the main Woolacombe beach. We cooked in the apartment 2 days and found the kitchen to be very easy to navigate, which is not always the case in self catering apartments! The bedrooms were light and spacious and very comfortable. The shower was perfect, and the place was very clean in general. The large terrace looked out onto the bay which was lovely to enjoy in the evenings.
I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a seaside break in North Devon.

“Bright and airy appartment - just what you need to unwind & relax!”
Reviewed 31 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed at this apartment at the beginning of June for our last family holiday before daughter goes off to University. I'd read other reviews staying how bright a airy the apartment was and they weren't wrong. From the moment we walked in I felt relaxed. The view from all 3 rooms is wonderful. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed, in fact I don't think we eat out, as it was just nice sitting round the table, talking, playing games and taking in the view.

Whilst this didn't effect our stay, we couldn't work out how to use the equipment in the media room and also the climb up the hill to the back entrance is a 'killer'. I'd love to bring my parents to stay at the apartment but there's no way they'd make the walk up the hill, which is such a shame as I can't wait to return.

I know we'll be back as daughter has got into Exeter Uni so will be a great place to meet, catch-up on some surfing and just chill for a long weekend!

“Good, but shame about the building work”
Reviewed 15 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The flat is nice, in a good location with spectacular views. It is very large with more than enough room for 4 people. All our communications with the owner and the maintenance staff were prompt and helpful. The problem with the plumbing was sorted out quickly.
But, there is no mention in the description that the flat is part of a larger complex which is currently being redeveloped. Arrival at the back of the building reveals the extent of the demolition work. We were regularly woken before 8am by workmen arriving in the apartment above our bedroom, though the actual demolition work did not start until after 8am.
There is a great big terrace accessed by all 3 rooms, which needs some tlc.
The TV room is a good idea, but we could not get the sound to work; this was not a problem, we just used the tv in the living room.
This "ground" floor flat is reached by a full flight of stairs with a fire door at the bottom and the lift does not work.
We had a lovely holiday, spent mostly on Woolacombe's fabulous beach. But we feel we paid too much for the flat, given the apartment block's short-comings. It will be fabulous once the rest of the site is sorted out and we will not book again until then.
And we never did locate the flat's board store.

Management Response
16 Aug 2015
Thanks Helen for the review and feedback.I am glad that you had a good holiday - noted though your comments. To confirm in response, I have actioned someone to look (again) at the TV and system in the entertainment room to make sure it is fully working and new instructions printed if needed. As regards the building work next door, I am sorry that you were woken up so early, that is not the agreement we have with the next door owners and their site staff. I have written to them and will follow up on Monday. I am expecting the works adjacent to the apartment will be completed in the first half of 2016, and am told that the design of their refurb is such that the 'noisy part' is almost over - I will though make sure I monitor more closely Thanks again for the feedback - helpful!
Regards
Pamela (Owner)

“Super Apartment”

Really enjoyed our stay at Narracott Apartments and can't wait to return.

On arrival you will find that there is building work (when they feel like it) adjacent to the apartments, therefore parking is across the road from the entrance. As you can drop luggage off before you park it is really not a problem at all. Although beware it's a narrow steep incline up if you have a large car.

Lovley large and spotlessly clean apartment which could easily accommodate more than four. Huge decking area with the most amazing view right in the thick of things but with no problem with noise at all. ( not sure what high season would be like).

Everything you could wish for is in the apartment. With lovely showers with lots of hot water whenever needed.
We couldn't get the television to work in the entertainment suite when we were there. But after an email to the owner we had a phone call from the housekeeping team who tried to talk us through it with an offer of the maiantence man coming in the morning to fix. We decided it wasn't needed due to being too busy enjoying woolacombe beach and the surrounding area but 10/10 for help and communication especially Jules who helped us out before we even arrived.

We can't wait to go back.

Many thanks

“Good Apartment Poor Building ”

The Apartment itself is fantastic with good access to the beach and is situated in the centre of the village. We were traveling with a small child and pushchair and needed to use the building lift to get to the apartment. This is where our problems started, the lift is very old and part of the old Narracott Hotel, it broke down twice over a three day period, one occasion I had to phone the lift company to arrange an engineer visit to make sure it was working for our departure.
