Stayed for 1 night on way up too the north coast of devon. Well presented in a gorgeous small quiet village. Stayed in superior king size room, spotlessly clean, very victorian ambience which i loved.Bed very comfy with lovely crisp clean white sheets, could not falter room. Had an evening meal and full cooked breakfast and have too say they were both fabulous, homemade and all local produce. Beautiful ! Will definitely recommend. Thank you.

Stayed here for a second time and it is excellent. The owners Ian and Debbie are just first class, the rooms are clean and well appointed and the food is excellent. We cannot fault it and will return very soon. Thank you both for your kindness, superb service and food.

Having visited here before for the excellent Sunday Roast and also an evening meal , we just had to visit again as we were staying locally as before, this time our party was for eleven diners including 4 vegetarians , the wet weather had caused lots of late arrivals and so the bar was packed, but everyone was calm and as before a super welcome was on offer for everyone and quite unbelievably I was even recognised from our previous visit by a bar regular two years ago ! Our reserved table was spotless and very nicely laid out,and in spite of the amount of late diners arriving we were soon served by the very polite , helpful and smiling waitress, the food was absolutely perfect for everyone including the veggies and the Roast Pork and Crackling was out of this world as were the delicious roast potatoes , lots of fresh veg too, together with the Roast Beef and Yorkies, exactly as per last time, everyone cleared their plate and were very satisfied we also had various tasty Sweets to follow, washed down with nice quality wine, The standard here is very high together with a very warm welcome , they also have high quality double rooms upstairs and so if you are visiting North Devon this is definitely the best place to stay and dine in style , we will certainly be back next year I am sure .

We came here as a large group after a funeral. The owner was most accommodating, offering us the snug bar to congregate in. The food was excellent as was the service.
Thank you Ian for making us feel so welcome and for providing the perfect end to a difficult day.
