We stayed at the Crescent using The Buttery and Cromlech House. The accommodation is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The utility area in The Buttery even provided for surfers to rinse and dry wet suits. We were able to all sit and eat together in the kitchen and relax in the lounge in The Buttery. The bedrooms are comfortable. The area is very pretty with opportunities for walking on the Coastal Path and a pretty cove at the bottom of the hill from the village with a very good Beach Café. We would definitely recommend The crescent for group get togethers.
We hired both houses to celebrate my husbands 50th with friends and family. Beautifully converted houses, every need considered!.....Dominic very helpful with all me queries!!!
I booked the 2 properties together as we were a large group of adults away for a Birthday weekend. The properties were very large, clean and well equipped.
The village and location are Great. Thanks Dominic and Iona . The houses do you proud, we will be back . Regards Andrew
I found the house online and we rented both the Cromlech and the Buttery. We arrived Friday night, 11 adults and 2 kids and more arrived Saturday as you can sleep up to 20 people over the two houses comfortably. In the Buttery there is a big table which we could all manage to get round, so we had lots of great food and wine and used the facilities to play our cds and had a great weekend.
It is a perfect spot for the coastal walk and the stroll into Woolacombe is about 15-20 minutes and is just beautiful.
The house and facilities were great, the rooms were fine and bedding and towels were provided and the houses warmed up quickly once we got the heating on.
The house owner was in constant touch and gave me all the info I needed before we arrived, there is ample parking, where tow cars can park outside and the local car park is only a couple of quid a day.
Everyone who went on the weekend (for my 50th) had a great time and it's perfect for large family or friends getting together, also enough space for people to do their own thing with the house stocked with games, TVs, DVD players etc. We had a wonderful weekend, and despite the cost seeming large when divided up it was worth it for sure.
