We visited in January for lunch (never having been before), and after being impressed by Jane Baxter on Saturday Kitchen. Booked and paid for on the Internet, you take your own choice of tipple (they apply a corkage charge of £5 per bottle of wine).
Small friendly place, and you can watch the activity in the kitchen while chatting to your fellow diners. All the dishes are shared by everyone on each table (6 people on ours) and most certainly you won’t come away from WA in any way, shape or form, hungry. Masses of really tasty varied dishes. Our favourite came at the end of the meal, sticky toffee pudding to die for, but to be honest it was all delish!
We both loved the experience and will visit again at some point.
One small gripe though. There seemed to be only one serving utensil per dish, so there were those on the table using their fingers or using an already used fork from their plate to serve up their food. Not great for the rest of us serving ourselves after them ...
