I saw pictures of Point Park and asked the man who checked us in at our hotel where it was. He didn’t know. Unfortunately for him, he was missing out on a hidden gem just 15 minutes from the hotel. There are lots of signs to Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain, however, not very good marketing for this landmark, which is at the top of Lookout Mountain. I am not a battlefield fan, but found the plaques still very interesting. The views of Chattanooga and beyond are phenomenal. Just below the Park is also Craven House which also affords very nice views. The cost for the Park is $7.00 per person, which is on an honor system. The machines take cards, too. If you park in the lot behind the restrooms, it’s free. If you park on the road you have to pay. Follow the paths behind the monument to the small museum overlooking the city.
