Just back from a wedding held here. Couldn't make the most of the garden due to the awful weather, but despite that we enjoyed our stay. The owners and staff work extremely hard and it's a lovely setting for a wedding. We stayed in room 7, which was modern, bright and airy and very clean. Really comfortable bed and high quality linen and towels. We'd definitely return for a short break. Room 4, where the bride and groom stayed, with the four poster bed and terrace was lovely too.
Give your lovely cat a stroke from us Keith - we found it really friendly.

We got married here on Saturday and it was perfect! Location is beautiful, which we were told numerous times by our guests! Weather was amazing so luckily we got to sit out in the garden which is definately the best part of the hotel! The food was great, we had a BBQ. The staff are the best- especially Keith the owner and Fred the manager/ wedding coordinator. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The whole day went without a hitch, thank you!!

I experienced a lovely stay here. Extremely comfortable, wonderful food, superb & friendly staff. It's in a beautiful & peaceful setting so although I was working in the area I felt like I was on holiday! Definitely a hotel I would return to without hesitation, either for work or relaxation.

We attended my son's wedding at this lovely hotel. the staff were very helpful and the owners made us feel part of the family. Nothing was too much for them. we had "room 2" a superior room and it was luxury at its best. The wedding went without a hitch and everyone was happy. well done to all at the Lavender Hotel.

Room Tip: go for a superior room if you can afford it although the other rooms were very good.

My girlfriend booked this hotel for my birthday treat and we had a brilliant one-night stay.
We were made to feel welcome from the minute we stepped through the front door. We were shown to our room which was really nice with a lovely big, comfy bed.
The small dining/breakfast room was spotlessly clean and the food was as good as you would get in any fine dining restaurant.
After our meal, we relaxed on the sofa in front of the fire. The owners were so friendly and the place just had such a relaxing atmosphere.
Breakfast was great, fresh fruit, berries, yogurt and cereals followed by a delicious cooked breakfast.
Even though we were the only guests staying that night we were made to feel really comfortable, the owners were friendly and helpful without being over the top!
Although some of the decor could do with updating, if you value wonderful individual service, cuisine and comfort, you really don't notice.
The garden was lovely even for November.
Can see why this is popular for weddings and would definately stay here again.
