“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 22 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Great traditional cottage, decorated to a high standard, very comfortable with all mod cons, close to all amenities, and a big bonus for us , dog friendly, highly recommended

“Character cottage in good location”
Reviewed 10 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Seabird Cottage is in a good location very close to the harbour and shops and a good base for exploring further afield. It is well furnished with some nice ‘homely’ touches and attention to detail. The ‘Brixham’ stairs were easy to get used to and part of the charm of the cottage although those unsteady on their feet may struggle. Kitchen is well equipped however with all the good restaurants so close we didn’t make use of it! We found parking spaces in the road above the cottage (S Furzeham Road) and used Manor Steps – around a 4 minutes’ walk. All in all a very enjoyable short break that was over to soon!

“Perfectly quaint fishermans cottage.”

The cottage is in a great location to explore Brixham. It's extremely well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the homely feel. Contact from David with information prior to our visit was very helpful.

“Perfect for popping into Brixham.”
Reviewed 28 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We enjoyed a mini break in Brixham and were pleased to have found a cottage you could rent for a couple of days, that also accepted pets. It was conveniently located for a short stroll to the harbour and the shops at Brixham. There were lots of pretty decorative touches in the cottage.

“Wish we could have stayed longer”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Mum and I stayed here for a few days and really wished it could have been longer. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage is beautifully decorated, with some lovely little touches' and we found it very comfortable. A few reviewers have mentioned the 'quirky' Brixham staircase (which we thought was a bit like a spiral staircase) it may take a couple of days to get use to but it is part of the charm of this lovely cottage. The property was very clean and the beds were comfortable, though we felt that slightly wider single beds may be more comfortable for adults. Thankfully we had no problem with parking and found a space just up the road from the cottage (less than a 2 min walk). It is lovely to just walk around the streets with its different levels, getting a different perspective of Brixham. The cottage is in a really great location, being away from the Quay and possible noise pollution but near enough to stroll down to the shops and Quay. Mum is 76 and did struggle a bit with some of the steep areas but she does have a knee problem and we were aware that some areas may not be accessible to her. There are some great eateries in the area too and we would wholeheartedly recommend Bistro 46 just down and round the corner from the cottage. The service and food at this restaurant was excellent and also good value for money. We also visited Montpellier near the Quay which was also very nice though very different from the ambience of Bistro 46. The Manor public house which is a few doors down from the cottage is also very good but at the time of our visit they were not serving food. We were a little concerned that there may be some noise from people sitting outside The Manor at night but there was never any noise after 10:30pm. All in all we loved staying at this cottage and fell in love with it and Brixham. Hope to be able to come back another time ...soon!
