Mum and I stayed here for a few days and really wished it could have been longer. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage is beautifully decorated, with some lovely little touches' and we found it very comfortable. A few reviewers have mentioned the 'quirky' Brixham staircase (which we thought was a bit like a spiral staircase) it may take a couple of days to get use to but it is part of the charm of this lovely cottage. The property was very clean and the beds were comfortable, though we felt that slightly wider single beds may be more comfortable for adults. Thankfully we had no problem with parking and found a space just up the road from the cottage (less than a 2 min walk). It is lovely to just walk around the streets with its different levels, getting a different perspective of Brixham. The cottage is in a really great location, being away from the Quay and possible noise pollution but near enough to stroll down to the shops and Quay. Mum is 76 and did struggle a bit with some of the steep areas but she does have a knee problem and we were aware that some areas may not be accessible to her. There are some great eateries in the area too and we would wholeheartedly recommend Bistro 46 just down and round the corner from the cottage. The service and food at this restaurant was excellent and also good value for money. We also visited Montpellier near the Quay which was also very nice though very different from the ambience of Bistro 46. The Manor public house which is a few doors down from the cottage is also very good but at the time of our visit they were not serving food. We were a little concerned that there may be some noise from people sitting outside The Manor at night but there was never any noise after 10:30pm. All in all we loved staying at this cottage and fell in love with it and Brixham. Hope to be able to come back another time ...soon!

A lovely 2 bedroomed cottage with lots of quirky touches and attention to detail. Very clean with nice bedding and towels. The enclosed terrace area up the steps (about 10) was ok but the steps hadn't been cleaned and needed a good brushing as was full of dirt and dead leaves. Cottage in close proximity to the harbour and town. Turn left from cottage for a couple of yards down the street then turn right to go down the "broad steps" about 15. Turn left and this brings you towards the quay and harbour. The cottage is situated in a very narrow street so extra care needed with a large car as after unloading you need to carry on down the street to negotiate a turn around to go back up past the cottage and either find somewhere to park on the street free or drive to one of the public car parks. A week's permit costs £33, 3 day permit £20. These can be obtained from the tourist information desk located in the shop Hob Nobs down by the harbour. We got a permit as the streets for free parking were mainly located up steep hills. Overall we were pleased with the cottage and our stay in Brixham, although I would not recommend the cottage for the elderly/infirm or very young children, mainly due to the steep winding staircase with no landing area at the top and the steps to the terrace. A bonus also is that the cottage is dog friendly.

Five nights stayed here, very enjoyable break for myself, husband and my mother.
Lovely cottage, full of character, and in an ideal location. We even got use to the quirky stairs. Would love to stay again.

Had a lovely time in Brixham - the cottage is very well presented, decorated to a high standard, very clean and has everything you need. Great location and a very dog friendly place. We will definitely return in the future.

The cottage is very tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Kitchen is fully equipped and there is a lovely patio garden to sit in with a glass of wine in the afternoon..there is also an excellent shower. Location is also perfect, less than 5 minutes walk to the harbour and many restaurants. Parking was only a minor problem as we found spaces 10 minutes walk away. All in all the lovely premises and the whole location made it into a lovely holiday. We all agreed we would happily return in the future
