I’ve noticed the sign for Jersey Wetlands but never visited.
It’s well worth stopping and having a look, we saw lots of wildlife and were only there an hour.

We are not naturalists or ornithologists but we really enjoyed our visit to the hide in the wetlands centre. We went quite early and were entirely on our own. Parked near the path to the hide and just a short walk beside fields brought us to the hide. Inside you opened the wooden shutters and could gaze at the pond, sitting on some comfortable cushions. Altogether a perfect quiet place to view wildlife.

Such a peaceful situation to sit and watch the birdlife on St Ouen’s Pond. Visiting late afternoon and staying for nearly two hours, we saw a few birds we haven’t seen before and would have liked to return early morning to see what else would visit but time was against us. The hide is open from 7-7 every day, free with plenty of parking across the road.
