The variety of displays was impressive, especially how it had activities for children. The well laid out walk through the museum had a gradual slope, making it easier for disabled access. The tapestry was amazing, thought provoking.

Visit the Tapestry exhibition as this is a very interesting history of the occupation. Then move onto the Maritime museum proper. It’s great for all ages of children from 5 to 65. Lots of hands on exhibits teaching about the sea plus lots of history of the islands association with the sea.

We had an hour to kill so decided to visit our expectation was not high but it was a hidden gem !

Loads of interactive exhibits (some a little random!) and facts well set out with plenty to keep you interested.

the tapestries were fantastic, the story heart breaking

a must see !

Very interesting. Tapestry amazing. Upstairs an interactive museum which would be educational for the kids. Cafe next door but it was shut when we visited.
