Do book ahead, as by 1.30, the Restaurant was packed. JASMIN was our lovely waitress and altho' run off her feet, still took time to talk... We chose the €23 two-course lunch, altho' a little surprised with the €8 supplement for the duck and €3 supplement for crab.

The food was superb- LARRY the chef is a marvel... the chowder was the best we've ever tasted and the crab very tasty. What can we say about the duck? PERFECT! Glad we had only two courses, as the portions were large.

We have been to the main restaurant in Marlfied House and feel The Duck Restaurant is far superior for the food, both for value and portion-size. Staff here are friendlier also. Well worth the cost for a special occasion. The daffodils were out in the garden and I'm sure the Summer brings a lot more colour to it.

One small observation....It would be nice if a special occasion (such as ours) was marked with even a small cake and would have been a welcome gesture.
THANK YOU Jasmin, Larry and Staff! ENJOY!

Our party of 5 arrived unbooked on a cold January afternoon but we were welcomed into the lovely warm Restaurant. A good range of choices on the menu from small salads to a full plate. I have Haddock Tempura and it was delicious. Good service and no rush for us to leave and return to the cold weather outside. The bulding is a lovely old Barn tastefully restored, its part of Marfield House.

I was here for lunch with relatives and to be very honest I was disappointed. Its a beautiful Hotel and the Restaurant seems to be built on to the main Hotel. The main course for me was 'very small' and I don't have a big appetite. Wine was lovely. As were deserts. Marlfield House Hotel is situated just a short distance from the town of Gorey and a couple of miles from the beach in Courtown Harbour so if was a fine day take a short trip and enjoy a walk along the beach.

We love a stroll through the gardens and woodland. It's the most tranquil place. The kitchen garden is especially colourful at the moment.

Modern light filled building , with an outdoor courtyard for fine weather. Extensive wine list and wonderful selection of sharing plates, starters, main and desserts. Spoilt for choice and something for everyone.

Well trained friendly staff. I had the steak which was cooked to perfection! Portions are large so make sure to leave room for dessert!

Beautiful gardens and short woodland walk where the children can explore in search of George, the very well fed peacock!

Busy so do book in advance. A great addition to Marlfield House, but do book in so as you can enjoy the entire experience, which the family run Marlfield House has to offer.
