I had visited Bay Tree a few times before but I was looking forward to checking out a Sunday morning breakfast recently.
First off, I will admit that we arrived at 9.55 on a bitter cold Sunday morning. The door was locked but the staff member was behind the counter and surely saw us standing in the freezing cold though the glass front. We thought to ourselves that she can’t leave us here much longer like this but she did and 10am came and went. We didn’t want to knock the window and ask to be let in out of the cold, but chose to go and have breakfast in O’Loughlins hotel instead. For the record, we walked away from the Bay Tree @ 10.05, pretty cold and pretty pissed off. As it worked out, O’Loughlins was a nice breakfast and we probably won’t give Bay Tree another try. Common sense should be taught to staff in this place and a little more consideration for your customers would go a long way
