“Superb location, fantastic view”
Reviewed 6 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Fantastic views of the Twelve Pins and ever changing vistas of sea and sky. Large comfortable rooms, good facilities, highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

“Just About Perfection”
Reviewed 3 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

It is hard to imagine a nicer place to stay than this. Roundstone itself (at least in quiet March) is a lovely village: pretty, with good restaurants, and superbly set in a wonderful landscape of ample water, wide empty boglands, hills and mountains. All of which are immediately visible from the windows of the lounge and the two front bedrooms of this very conformable and very well appointed house right on the quay of Roundstone Harbour. The windows are important, especially the massive one in the lounge/dining room; the light is constantly changing as one looks out across the bay towards the Twelve Pins, and it's unlikely that I, for one, would ever tire of the view. Even on the one day when we had consistently grey, wet, windy weather, there was always something of interest to look at. A tip if you are going to stay here or anywhere else in Roundstone or close-by: get yourself a copy of Tim Robinson's 'Connemara: Listening to the Wind'. It's a great book: very readable, endlessly informative and surprising (and often very funny), and once you've been to Roundstone you'll feel as if you've been walking around in that book for a while.

“Magical Place”

The Quay House was simply fantastic. The scenery from the bedroom windows is stunning, from the harbour to the Bens to the islands. Our 21 year old told me that he now understands the meaning of 'getting away from it all'. A great place to relax, walk, cycle, fish and eat great food. The house itself was perfect, spotlessly clean and with every convenience and very comfy beds. Dealing with Anne and Simon couldn't have been easier. We will definitely be back!

“Cosy”
Reviewed 23 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Wonderful house. Every convenience thought of. Incredible view. Food is excellent at local restaurants.Take a trip up to see Joyce's sheepdog demonstration. Worth it just for the scenery on the 50 minute journey.
