We were in Nashville, TN for the homegoing services of Donna Summer. Greg Lewis, the General Manager of the hotel and his staff were so accommodating to us during our stay. Thank you again for making sure we had a wonderful experience. They kept our stay private and we did not have to be concerned about the press bothering the family during this dreadful time of mourning.

Room Tip: It is better to be on the top floor because of the thin walls and floors/ceilings. We were on the 3r...

My husband and I stayed here two nights on a recent extended road trip of the south. The front desk staff was always very friendly and very accommodating. Our room was very clean and neat. It was considered a suite, but the only difference between this room and other rooms that we used was an addition of a small sink beside the microwave. We liked our room, but we could hear every step that the people in the room above took. Another problem was that the bathroom door automatically closed, and we had to prop it open to clear the steam. The fan did not work. We also had problems with the room keys. It seemed there was always one that did not work even when they replaced one for us.

The fitness center was adequate, but you had to get the treadmill key and the TV remote from the front desk. There was not problem with this, and the staff was great about giving the items. They did not even object when I could not get the TV to work and had to get them to help. They were always friendly and cordial.

The cookies that were served in the evening were wonderful, but you had to get there quickly before they disappeared!! On our first night, my husband visited me in the fitness center to alert me to the good cookies in the lobby, but when I went a little later, they were gone. The young lady at the front desk said not to worry, and found two for me and even served them on a plate.

Breakfast was one of the better ones that we found on our trip. There were more choices and they had bacon and sausage each day. Petite omelets were served both days of our stay.

There was a laundry located on our floor, and the cost was only a dollar. This was the cheapest laundry that we found on our entire trip.

If we were to stay here again, we would request a room on the top floor to cut down on the noise. The location was good, but our room did not have any kind of a view, just an auto repair establishment next door.

Room Tip: I would request a room on the top floor so that there would be no overhead noise.

We stayed here in on a Monday night in April of 2012. The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My only problem was that we could hear the people next to us talking and we heard the people above us running all night. My biggest complaint about most hotels is the lack of noise control! The people in the room next door were not yelling or anything, but you could hear them when the tv was off. so we were able to block that noise with the tv all night, but the people above us kept running back and forth. I'm pretty sure the people on other side of us banged on the wall and woke me up in the middle of the night. I heard a loud thump behind my bed, maybe it was a hint to turn off the tv! There's no winning when it comes to a peaceful night of a sleep!

This hotel is in an easily accessible area about half way between Franklin and Nashville either of which can quickly be reached by travelling north or south on Franklin Pike (abt 3/4 mile west of the hotel). We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious king suite with the sitting area (sofa, coffee table, small table w/ 2 chairs, microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker) separated by arches and pillars from the sleeping area. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable; the single TV could be turned to be viewed from either the bed or the sofa. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful and there were brochures / coupons for many area attractions available in the front lobby. There are really no views from the rooms - an abandoned hotel to the east, parking lots, roadways etc from the other windows, but the upper floors (we were on 3) were pretty quiet during our stay. The free breakfast included the standard (but good and appreciated) waffle-maker, above-average sausage gravy w/ biscuits, bacon w/ funny-tasting sausage, a soggy potato cake and decent scrambled eggs and pre-made omelets. There was also a nice assortment of fresh fruits, breads, cereals, yogurt, milk, hot chocolate and delicious coffee w/ a few flavored creamers. What would make this better? More easily- reached electrical outlets, new towels (ours were small, thin, slightly tattered, poly cotton) small room repairs (there was peeled wallpaper w/ what appeared to be water spotting near the ceiling of our bathroom and the bathroom fan wasn't working - not a big deal to us) and more consistent Wi-Fi (ours was unavailable for several hours that we tried to get on, though we did use the small - just large enough for a chair, one computer and printer- business office). A pleasant surprise was the handheld shower in addition to the rain-type stationary shower head. There are no restaurants or shops within easy walking distance, but many are available w/ just a short drive.
