Great home style food. You MUST try the Indian Fried Bread; both the Indian Taco and Dessert. My husband’s eyes were bigger than his stomach, so you might not want to order the double meat and beans as it’s not necessary.

We stopped here upon a rec from Sanford Lab folks back in Lead. Place has several small dining areas some outside, gift shop, store, gas pump, anything a traveler would want. The 'famous for' carrot cake was really good! Large piece that we shared while our meal order was cooking was Yummy! She had the chicken wrap lunch which was HUGE, (tender mild flavor chick , etc) we could have shared it as well as the FF. I had a bowl of their homemade chili, which was mild flavor, two kinds of beans, big meaty chunks, not bitter tom base. OK but seemed not as good as I expected. observed other folks meals= mostly large portions and everything looked great! Atmosphere mountain cabin casual. Staff very friendly and courteous and NO C19 hassles. Plenty of parking. Right on road through canyon so very convenient. A lodge was nearby.

Stopped for breakfast with two other couples after many recommendations. It did not disappoint! The breakfast was delicious (the biscuits and gravy has paprika sprinkled on top to warn you though). Our server was spectacular as we were in a bit of a hurry and he did everything he could to get us in and out promptly. He recommended that we come back for their Indian tacos and their carrot cake, which we did on our way back through that evening (we just got one of each as a to go order so we could all try it). They were magnificent. A must stop if we ever travel there again!

So glad we found this place. The waitresses call you honey, the pancakes are huge and the reubens are fantastic.

Jackie met us at the door, and even tho she was slammed with customers, she took the time to welcome us, seat us, take our drink order and serve the drinks. Not bad for the Gift Shop Manager. The food was excellent, hot and served on time. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and is very comfortable. The gift shop is well stocked being so far out. We will go back, next time in town. Be sure and stop in when driving Spearfish Canyon!
