We always visit Neil and Pam's when in the area. This year there was no waitress just the man behind the bar which took our order then forgot to bring the drinks. I had to go up to the bar asking if he had forgotten. We had a cheeseburger which was great as usual. Nothing fancy about the place just good food.

Not much curb appeal and the decor inside isn't much to look at but the burgers and fries are great and the staff is always friendly. The craft beer influence here is non-existent so the beer is basic national brands but reasonable prices.

Neal & Pam's is what makes the south end so special, without question the best bar in Surfside Beach and combined with the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet and the PIT in Pawleys Island a 'bookend' to the best time you'll ever have on the coast in South Carolina.

The drinks are cold, the bartenders are great, the food is good (that's a fact) and people have a good time. Locals who can go anywhere go to Neal & Pam's - Zach Baker's cool (he owns it) ... even my Clemson friends like to go there and it's definitely a 'Gamecock' bar.

Summer's are busy and football season's packed. WE LOVE IT! I've met NASCAR nuts, football crazies, doctors, lawyers and Indian chiefs in this bar; and hot-momma's in pastel spring dresses to cut-offs (cut-off RIGHT), i.e., their pockets are longer than their hems. Families like it, too - people watch their mouths and kid's have a REAL menu.

Consistently voted the best bar in Surfside Beach, and for all the right reasons. NY, NJ or Newberry ... Ohio, Oklahoma or Olata - if you don't laugh and have a good time at Neal & Pam's it's on you. This IS the best bar south of the state park, period.

We'd never visited there before and decided to run over to Surfside for a change from our usual Garden City karaoke scene; what a waste of time! We (8 of us) got there around 10 and place was about 30% full. We ordered some drinks, there was 0 energy in there but we decided to stick around for a minute. Looked like "Allen" the karaoke DJ had some favorites in the crowd but he fit in a couple of us to sing. I got up TWICE to put in a song; the first time I reached the stage Allen brushed by me to go to the bar and talk to a couple of folks in the room. The next time I went up, he wouldn't even acknowledge me and kept looking at his computer. Never been treated like that by a karaoke DJ! We all decided that the energy was so low and honestly Allen didn't seem to interested in anyone else but his crowd singing (and himself) so our crowd ($200-$300) walked out the door and we Ubered back to GC. Later that night in our usual spot, we saw some of the previous crowd from Neal & Pam's come rolling in, guess they wanted a little more too! We may be back one day for food but not for kareoke. Stay in Garden City for your songs!

We went for trivia on Monday night and felt we had to order something. We had wings and chili cheese nachos. The wings were fine but the nachos no good. The beer is bottled or cans. The trivia fun but I would not recommend the food.
