Not what we expected

I think we're just spoiled with "pretty" lighthouses. This one was plain and simply not what we... read more

Neat place to visit. Lots of facts & history posted. Just wish you could tour it and go in. Nice beaches right there too!

Not much you can actually do/see here, but if you're out on the island it is worth taking a few minutes and parking and reading the sign about the lighthouse. The walk to the beach is also right there as well (although no bathroom/shower facilities that I saw), so worth taking a peek as well. Hopefully they'll allow you up there as the history/configuration of it is interesting.

My wife is a Lighthouse fan and we seek out most houses. Nice setting, but the square light house is just average.

This lighthouse is so unique as it is triangular and so different from what you expect to see. It is currently an active lighthouse and there are no tours available. If you are on Sullivan's Island or at Fort Moultree, you truly need to see it. There will be a day that we won't have any lighthouses left.

There really isn’t much to see. You can drive down the side street see the lighthouse and take a picture. You can’t do a tour of the lighthouse . If you can find a parking spot you can walk on the beach here which is pretty. However, we had our dog with us and dogs are not allowed on the beach without a blue collar which is some type of permit that you have to buy. Really wasn’t an attraction at all. If you do find a parking spot, make sure your tires are not on the pavement. The police will come along and ticket you. There are signs posted that you must be parked off pavement.
