I loved Sullivan’s Island Beach. We went around 5pm and it was pretty sparsely populated. We had plenty of space to ourselves and it was nice and quiet. There was a very chilly breeze that day but that’s to be expected in early April. Overall a lovely beach. There’s even an old lighthouse in the backdrop.

Love this beach! Nice boardwalks down to the beach. Plenty of parking, just have to look for it. Make sure to stop by the lighthouse too. Lots of great restaurants in the area also.

Huge, clean beach area. We had a great walk here. Limited parking is on the side streets but you must keep your wheels off the pavement when parked. No amenities like bathrooms or change rooms.

The beach here is great especially during low tide. Dogs are allowed to run off leash until noon from Oct 1-April 30 (winter hours) & can stay on the beach while leashed after noon. Summer hours for dogs, off leash 5a-10a May 1-Sept 30, not permitted on beach 10a-6p, then back on leash 6p-5a. A $35 license fee is required but it’s good for the calendar year.
Low tide is the best time to go as you can find sanddollars & starfish, some shells too. Parking can be difficult along the side streets, and yes, you will get ticketed if your car tires are on the pavement but park on Middle Street and walk the 2-3 blocks, not an issue.

If you want a lovely relaxed beach experience, Sullivan's is definitely the best option in South Carolina. You can find a nice quiet area, enjoy the waves, relax. and have a great beach day or evening.
