My wife and I went to Landolfi’s for the first time after playing an afternoon round of golf in Pawleys Island. We had heard that it was very good from friends of ours.
As an appetizer, ordered a bowl of the daily special soupto split, which was minestrone with tortellini, topped with pesto and Parmesan cheese. It was served with nice Italian bread, and was full of zucchini, carrots, potatoes and tortellini. Very hearty and tasty - obviously homemade.
The pizzas are only 10”, so we ordered 2 so that we could try different varieties and have some for take home. On the recommendation of our waitress, who was excellent, we ordered the “Trentonian”, which had a base of buffalo mozzarella cheese, topped with San Marzano tomatoes and basil, and the rotisserie chicken, spinach, marinara sauce, and mozzarella. The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven, which makes for a great crust. The flavor of both pizzas was outstanding.
We will definitely go back to Landolfi’s again!
