“where the LPGA played”

Wachesaw Plantantion East Golf Club
More attraction details
Attraction details
Owner description: Once the home of the Kathy Ireland/Greens Competition Classic, Wachesaw East was named the 2007 Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year by the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association. It has also recently received honors for its fairways, customer service and playability by national publications. In short, Wachesaw East is the complete package. Utilizing five sets of distinct tees, the Clyde Johnston design plays anywhere from 6,933 yards down to 4,995. Regardless, the thought-provoking track was crafted to reward the patient, an approach that stick with players after wrapping up on the signature hole. The green of the par-4, 430-yard No. 18 bends slightly around a small pond, leaving most to consider it one of the course's most challenging holes.

“where the LPGA played”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

Lovely course, I can see why LPGA chose the have there Ladies play here. Greens are fast to moderate, fairways are tricky, in the clubhouse: enjoy the pro shop the men and ladies do knlow their stuff, even the starters, rangers all are there to make sure you have a rememberable day

“Wachesaw Plantation East - Murrell's Inlet, SC”
Reviewed 9 January 2012

Small resort in Murrell's Inlet, SC, just south of Myrtle Beach. Best perk is use of the season pass for Huntington Beach State Park. Indoor heated swimming pool!!

“Poorly kept noisy units”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

Rooms were poorly kept, walls were scarred with black marks, metal chair in bedroom was covered in dust, living room chair was so worn it looked as if cats had clawed it. Towel racks were loose, king bed was actually 2 twin beds shoved together with king linens on it. We were in a one bedroom lock-out unit in phase 2 and could hear every word spoken in the other room. We complained but nothing was done and management said they had nowhere else they could move us. We are Festiva Owners and tis is our home resort but once the have your money they could care less about your satisfaction!!!

“Always Enjoy Wachesaw East - Good Women's Course As Well”
Reviewed 15 December 2011

I always try and play Wachesaw East. Always in good condition. More and more houses are seen from the fairways which I don't particularly enjoy but they aren't close enough to be concerned about. In the south end in Murrells Inlet just west off of Highway 17. Reasonable fee for a good course.

“Average...but fine”
Reviewed 21 November 2011

If you're used to a Marriott, this won't please you. Comforable, but very average. Desk staff was barely friendly-suprising for a resort in the south. Several small complaints about quality of units. Not important, but not top of the line either.Beds, pillows very comfy. Maintenance staff very responsive.I'd go back. Hubby said he wouldn't.
