Just returning from a great weekend at the Cottages. Don and Kim were great to deal with and very friendly. We were impressed with how clean the cottages were and the pool was nice also. The best thing was the location as you are right on the water across from Fort Sumter, and able to watch cargo ships and cruise liners go by. We will definitely be back to visit this great place!

We loved having your group stay as our cottage guests. We are the perfect location for a
girls weekend, especially with three full baths. This time of year our guest enjoy the pool and cooling harbor breezes. We look forward to seeing you again.

Perfect setting to sit back relax and enjoy the beautiful views from our screened in porch or from the Clubhouse enjoying breakfast. Five friends from grade school and each and everyone of us loved The Cottages. We were in Cottage 5. Small beach area and perfect ! KIM is exceptional. We had our itineraries and she was able to fine tune our scheduling to fit in shopping and lunches. Kim you were a gem when the uber driver couldn't find us. Thank you for making our trip even better.

Room Tip: Cottages 4, 5 or 6. Small beach area. Perfect

I just returned from a 3 night stay at The Cottages. I was there with family for my daughter's wedding in Mt. Pleasant. We stayed in Cottage #7 which was wonderfully situated with an amazing porch view of Fort Sumter and the harbor. One morning we saw dolphins frolicking close by in the water! The cottage was wonderfully laid out and well kept, clean and cozy. It felt like we were visiting someone's "home". Our cottage was also very convenient to the main guesthouse and pool. The staff were gracious, friendly, accommodating and quietly efficient. A shout out to Kim for her exceptional hospitality and yummy breakfast offerings. This property is worth the price and I would definitely return. My only reason for not a full 5 stars? Trouble with our A/C which took a full day to fix. And still, the lowest temperature allowed is 69. I prefer it a bit cooler! Luckily it wasn't super hot and humid! Enjoy this lovely and well designed property, it's quiet and unique.

We chose the Cottages to be away from the busyness of the city and are so glad we did. The cottage was beautiful, well appointed and the view from the screened in porch and behind our cottage was heavenly. We could see Charleston, Fort Sumpter and enjoyed the sail boats on the river. It rained the first three days of our trip, putting a damper on some of our Charleston plans, but the staff kept us busy with great rainy day recommendations. Additionally on the nights we decided to stay in by the fire (in June, no less!) they provided us with board games and we enjoyed some family fun. There were freshly baked cookies, cupcakes and lemon bars each evening, sand toys and wave boards if we decided to go to the beach and everything we needed for the pool once the sun came out. A wonderful breakfast was laid out each morning. We ran into a couple of maintenance issues that Kim and Steve in the office sorted out before we returned from lunch. We can't say enough about the staff (Don and Kim especially!) at the Cottages.

Overall it felt like a hotel with the amenities and privacy of your own home. We loved our week at the Cottages. We liked Charleston but we loved staying here even more.

Our only word of caution: if you stay on a Friday in the summer, check the Party on the Point schedule. Our cottage was next to the stage for the band and we had a front row seat to a loud band until after 10. Not great for small children and kept us from enjoying our final evening there.

Otherwise, perfection.

Thank you for the wonderful review. This year the event you mentioned, Party at the Point, is held only on Fridays, the last Friday in April and four Fridays in May and June. Event time is 5pm - 9pm. And this concert is open to the public. Many of our guests take advantage of the special event. I'l sorry to hear this event created a less than enjoyable experience.

Where can we start.....this vacation was absolutely perfect! The Cottages on Charleston Harbor were everything we thought they would be and then some! We loved the secluded, private setting of all the cottages, the gorgeous views of Charleston Harbor from our screened-in porch (which ran the entire length of the cottage....complete with rocking chairs, bistro table, stationary chairs and hammock), 2 bedrooms and yes...(3) bathrooms to accommodate our needs. We had a hot breakfast each morning at The Cottages' clubhouse (included in the stay) while sitting under the shaded loggia by the pool overlooking the Harbor. Kim prepared a breakfast fit for a king each morning (i.e. southern-style grits, eggs, sausage, chicken biscuits) and offered muffins, a selection of juices, coffee, hard boiled eggs, pastries, bagels, cinnamon bread, cereals, and jam. Senova provided daily housekeeping to keep our cottage clean and refreshed. Don gave us a warm welcome, as our concierge, provided answers to our questions and addressed any special requests we made. A selection of sweet treats (i.e. red velvet cake and chocolate chip cookies) was made available each afternoon for any guests needing a delicious snack. The Water Taxi was only steps away from our cottage and Don was able to obtain all-day passes for us that were a bargain (2 tickets for the price of 1). Our bicycle excursions were exhilarating! Lisa and her staff made our stay one of the best experiences ever! The Cottages on Charleston Harbor are a MUST accommodation for any traveler to the Charleston area! We will definitely return to this magical paradise! The Kelly Family :)

Room Tip: Ask for Cottage No. 6 if you need a Handicap Accessible entrance.
