Larkins on the River is a great spot located on the river in the middle of downtown Greenville. It's a total white table cloth restaurant that serves incredible food at very reasonable prices given the quality. Larkins found itself a super location and has taken advantage of it by offering some very cool looking outdoor seating that looks over the river. It was a little too cold for us on this day, but I look forward to returning on a nice spring day. I thought there wine selection was really fantastic. Great variety, great prices. They will serve by the glass, by the half bottle by the magnum. They also have a Coravin wine system if would like to try just a glass of something special (and dont' want to buy the whole bottle). They take pride in their steaks and well they should. I split the 28oz the bone-in ribeye with my wife. It's plenty enough for two. We also had Caesar Salads, which were also superb. I thought the price point for Larkin's was totally reasonable. Entrees were in the $30-$50 sort of range. Reservations are highly recommended. This is a great restaurants in Greenville, and everyone seems to know that. I didn't see any children when we were there and I don't believe I saw any type of Kids Menu either. So I didn't get the feeling that kids would have much fun here. But you will.
