We love a trip to The Trappe Door. Walking down the stairs into the restaurant is the next best thing to actually being in a pub in Belgium. I wish I could speak about other dishes, but I always choose the mussels with frites -- and I have never been disappointed.

Had a great dinner here with friends. Try the mussels in Thai coconut curry sauce excellent. This is like a little Amsterdam in Greenville as they have many different Belgian beers, great atmosphere friendly service.

It's down in the basement and dark, perfect place for great beers that you can barely find elsewhere. Food is great also.

We went for the moules and were not disappointed. They come with a variety of cooked sauces but we went classic with the white wine and herbs as well as the provincial. Both were well flavored. Drop the last 10-15 moules into the sauce and eat with a spoon! The frites were crispy and well salted and the mayo flavors were all good too. Eat the frites while hot as this gives you the best taste. Nice beer selection on tap and ask for samples if you do not know them. Good, friendly service is a plus. The atmosphere is dark wood and brick just like dome Belgian basement pubs. A winner.
