Nice little museum and gift shop to meander around while you wait for the ferry to the fort. Nice displays and lots of good information.

Wouldn't choose this as a destination unless you are heading to see Fort Sumter. Lots of stairs to navigate, public rest rooms and exhibits.

Great place to stop before or after visiting the aquarium. A wonderful but small exhibit about the Fort.

Every American should learn to appreciate the impact of the Civil War as it was far more impactful than any of the wars fought since then. I strongly recommend taking time beforehand at the Education Center at Liberty Point to learn about the events that led up to the actual attack. In my view, the Education Center is more interesting than the actual tour of the fort.
