It’s well worth a drive or walk over the bridge. We loved the experience and views that the ride / walk offer.

I'm not sure that I would ever make a bridge my destination, but in this case, you can. The Arthur Ravenel, Jr. bridge is a beautiful structure. There is parking near the base by Patriot's point and you can walk, jog or bike part or all of the 2 miles of the bridge. There is a sidewalk to one side with many people using it as a form of exercise. I have even seen people in wheelchairs (though it looks like quite a work out!). The bridge has markers to tell you how far you've gone and you know when you're at the center. The view is beautiful and we have great photos!
The structure hardly fits old Charlestom but it is very cool
We drove across it several times on visits to Mt. Pleasant and Fort Moultrie
Too,cold when we visited to actually comsider walking or jogging on it
It was raining when we drove across the bridge, but while we were driving around we were lucky enough to see it when the sun was out.
Love going over it .Hate traffic, I'm a country Gal .........Do not travel it between 3:00 P.M. threw 6:00 P.M. traffic is bad
