The Vendue is a welcome change from cookie cutter hotels. In addition to a great location and staff, it is decorated with artwork all through the hotel and rooms. The staff was great and the hotel offers a great continental breakfast in the lounge and cookies and milk in the evening. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Overall the hotel is great—location is perfect for walking to restaurants and the Exchange/Provost Museum. Not to mention it’s located right at the Waterfront Park fountain—bring a bathing suit! Our room was gorgeous!!! Recommend that you do at least the signature level room. Parking is $25 valet per day, not for each time you park which is super convenient. Not to mention they have a complimentary continental breakfast and happy hour wine/snacks. The cookies were the only food disappointment here—burnt and flat. I would also recommend asking ahead of time if they can put you in a room that’s not directly at the entrance to a building. Super convenient for coming/going, but it was a little noisy at night when trying to go to sleep. But yeah overall it was a great experience—I mean who can beat being greeted by smiling faces and a complimentary glass of champagne! Will definitely stay here again!!

The staff at this hotel could not have been any better. They went the extra mile to be sure you were taken care of. Location is nearby to the Charleston Market and the battery. Everything is within walking distance.

Room tip: This is an old hotel, so the sleeping room floors are made of wood, so a tad noisy, but tolerable.

I absolutely loved this hotel! I really loved that every evening you were served wine and got to mingle with the other guest and look at the amazing artwork on display at the hotel. Before retiring for the night we were given warm chocolate chip cookies. It was conveniently located and provided bikes to get around. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone that is visiting Charleston!

Beautiful rooms and lounge and bar, friendly staff, and FANTASTIC breakfast - THE BEST! Greek yogurt in clasp jars with fresh fruit, salmon cream cheese for your everything bagel, fresh-baked delicious pastries, etc.
Add to this, they greet you with sherry, then serve cookies and milk in the evening.
We got a voucher (thru Aug) to use in their restaurant, Revival, but please clarify with the front desk how to redeem, as there was confusion all around (we’d already clarified with the restaurant but it turned out different to what front desk says). Elegant dinner - the tartare with poached egg was a heavenly appetizer.
If you get an interior room, it is so quiet and dark (no windows) that you will sleep soundly!
Would definitely stay here again!
