The best, absolutely sublime. Doesn’t need sauce at all but it complements it well. The pork and sausage are great too. But, the brisket is unworldly.
Potato salad was fine, heavy on the dill.
Mac and Cheese was delicious, could have a little more flavor, but the delicious barbecue sauces helped with that. Those red and white sweet onions too mmmhmmm, don’t forget the pickles, they were pretty darn perfect.
My favorite side, to my surprise, was the corn pudding, that stuff was off the charts good. Best corn pudding or cornbread I’ve ever head too, although it still isn’t a hush puppy.
Finished off the meal with banana pudding, pretty good, nothing special.
Overall, when visiting Charleston this was not a place I planned to visit. I was trying to get the full lo’ country cuisine and eat those Carolina BBQ pulled pork staples. But, we ended up eating Texas BBQ instead, in Charleston, and it’s better than anything else we ate there.
