I have never had Texas barbecue before. It was so delicious! First restaurant I've been to in a while where I have to go back immediately! I'm used to southern sides with my BBQ so that was a bit different. Cowboy Beans were great though. A bit of a line, but it moved quickly. Plenty of outdoor seating too.

Get the beef ribs if they have them and don't forget desert. The ice cream is not like anything you have tasted before. Worth standing in line!!

Brisket was up there with the best... Sausage was very good, I like a bit more heat. Love the corn pudding , so good. Be prepared for a modest wait. By the way, ice tea was also top drawer.

We have been hearing about Lewis since getting to town a few days ago. We kept thinking to ourselves that there is no way it could be THAT good. We are in the middle of our meal and the food is better than advertised. The beef ribs, Turkey and brisket are all amazing. No sauce necessary. We wish we had time to come back again before heading home...

I know...this is South Carolina. It's about the sauce here when you talk BBQ. But for those of you who love dry rubs and slow smoked you need to eat here. The brisket is amazing and the hot guts (sausage) is made on site. Their buttermilk potato salad is divine but really...it's all about the protein here! Pickled onions and the house pickles are perfect accents to the meat. Expect a line but they are gracious at the counter, cut your order to your preferences, and move that line along efficiently all with great hospitality. Highly recommend for BBQ fans.
