The best brisket I've ever had. Understand that this is Texas style BBQ served meat market style. Texas BBQ is all about beef so don't expect your typical Carolina BBQ joint based on pork and lots or sauces. If you come here you come for the brisket which was perfect when we visited. We tried the pulled pork which was very tender but not as flavorful as we like. We also tried the hot guts which is their homemade sausage. It had a great spicy flavor and the perfect snap you look for when you bite into smoked sausage. We tried a side of the green chili corn pudding and the buttermilk potato salad....they were ok....nothing special. But remember....you come here for the BEEF! You've got to come here and try the brisket at least once!

If you like really long lines, no dishes, useless tiny napkins, watered down cocktails and $50 racks of pork ribs that weigh a couple of pounds, and having it all served on a piece of paper, you'll love this new place! The ribs are not baby back ribs. Your sides of which there are about 4 are also dumped on your piece of paper. No match for the way better downtown Home Team BBQ nearby. 4 of us would not return. Also, at an early Friday dinner hour, the sliced brisket was all gone. I wanted to love this but found nothing to like.

The best beef brisket you will ever eat! So tender and flavorful, you don't need bbq sauce. The pork spare ribs were absolutely the best ribs I have ever eaten. We also had pulled pork sandwiches and the Texas Hot Guts (sausage), and they were excellent - very tender and great flavor. The sides - potato salad, slaw, and chile corn pudding - were also great. Lewis himself was overseeing things and the staff, esp. the cutters, were extremely helpful and patient. Ambiance and setting were very cool. Highly recommend!

Open only 5 weeks in Charleston an alreaddy a HUGE SUCCESS! The holy city now has a place with devine cow/pig. Everything we sampled was excellent! They process folks quickly as you stand in line to order. The meats were great as were all of the sides. This included ribs, pulled pork, brisket, special sausages. The sides included corn pudding (crowd favorite!!), cole slaw and potato salad. If you are asked if you want the pickles and red onions: YES! Service was excellent too. Austin, one of the managers, came to our table and gave us brief history of place,

Second trip in as many weeks. I went back for the brisket and Cowboy Pinto Beans. Today also had the special of green chili/cheese pork sausage. Food is to die for, service is plentiful and pleasant
