This restaurant just opened 3 days ago, and we'll definitely be coming back. If you live in the Charleston area or will be visiting, make sure to go. For a Charleston restaurant, there is a lot of parking. It's a counter-style restaurant, where you walk up to the counter and order what you want . . . and watch it carved as you wait! Four of us decided to try it out today for lunch. It was crowded, and, while there was a line, it moved quickly. Wait staff offered (non-alcoholic) drinks as we waited in line, which was a nice touch. We decided to try almost everything, by sharing: beef brisket, turkey, sausage (a little spicy, but not too) and pork ribs. Everything was AMAZING! Once you get your meat carved, you move along to the "sides" area of the counter -- we had corn pudding (yum!) and potato salad (made with buttermilk, so a little tangy, different taste). Pickles and onions come with your choice. Drinks, silverware (plastic), napkins and various barbecue sauces are serve yourself. Once you seat yourself (lots of tables, both inside and out), wait staff does stop by to refill drinks and/or get you additional items. SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! Two types of "home spun" ice cream were on the menu: peach cobbler and bourbon pecan pie. We were going to order the peach, but our waitress said the bourbon pecan pie was her favorite -- and she was right!! The peach was good, but the pecan pie ice cream was unbelievably good, served with candied pecans throughout and on top. Restaurant would be a great place for families, too -- imagine pets might be allowed outside as with most Charleston restaurants -- but call ahead to make sure, as I didn't ask. (Full bar service as well, for those who want a drink.) My husband and I ordered 1/2 pound of beef brisket, a 3-meat sampler, 2 sides (corn pudding and potato salad) and two iced teas -- $22, which I thought was a great price for the amount of food we received.
