“Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2012

We had a great stay at the Andrew Pickney Inn. They have a lovely roof top deck to eat your breakfast. The place is very pretty and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location is right in the middle of Charleston, yet it was quiet. Our room was a bit small but we didn't spend much time in it.

The inn is right in the heart of historic Charleston, making it easy to walk everywhere. The lobby is cozy and welcoming with juice, coffee, and afternoon cookies. The staff was top-notch, helping us with directions, etc. Our room was across the street from the main building and, although small, very comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfast is included and served on a rooftop terrace. Considering the location and the type of inn, the price was reasonable. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Staff was great, especially the gal that handled the Continental breakfast. We enjoyed talking with her. Common areas/hall smelled damp and musty, and the bathroom wallpaper was peeling, with a moldy wall behind it. We paid top dollar for the room, as it was a last minute decision.

Best thing about this hotel is the location. It is right in the middle of it all.

The location is great but the quality of the room was fair to poor. The shower barely ran water, the toilet was clogged when we arrived (but quickly fixed), the large flat screen tv produced a highly distorted picture and the rug looked grimy. The breakfast was fair...a lot of food but fruit loops, grits, and stale bagels didn't appeal at all. The staff was friendly, helpful and very accommodating but the rates seemed very high for the value.

Room Tip: The 4th floor was very quiet...ask for a room at the rear of Inn.

This is the most beautiful Inn with a wonderful full breakfast. Very clean and beautifully appointed rooms. VERY QUIET - we thought that we might possibly be the only guests, but the place was fully booked. Just lovely!
