My husband and I spent 4 days at the hotel last week! The shuttle driver, Eddie, was super friendly and accommodating! We never even had to use our rental vehicle as the shuttle runs every half and hour to the historic district. We were also pleasantly surprised by the daily themed snacks and drinks! I was also very happy that when I left my prescription glasses in the room the hotel staff facilitated my getting them back quickly!

This was our third trip to Charleston, but the first with our children (boys 10,12 and 15). Having stayed at a bed and breakfast in the past, and an upscale boutique hotel we knew we needed to find a hotel that would accommodate the five of us and not break the bank. Having stayed at Courtyards around the country we figured it was a safe choice. This was by far the BEST Courtyard we have stayed at. It started when Ms. Hester insisted on helping us get our bags from the car and began to fill in our boys on the endless supply of M&Ms they would be able to get in the front lobby, how to get to the pool and all the other important kid info. Every staff member was like that, incredibly friendly and genuinely seemed to want to make sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. One morning the manager walked around chatting with each guest to check on their trip while the assistant manager was serving everyone Krispy Kreme donuts, next thing we knew the Bistro manager was bringing the adults all complimentary mimosas. Then each afternoon they had different complimentary treats for guess-one day it was a extensive selection of deserts, another day is was wine and cheese and on out last afternoon it was full blown baseball themed with hotdogs, corn dogs, etc. The Bistro is large and well appointed. There is a large deck area with clustered seating, tables and lounge chairs that overlooks a marina. Down from there is the pool area with more seating, corn hole and a fire pit. The area was well maintained with plenty of towels and a few floaties and pool toys for the kids. We used the free shuttle to head downtown and the driver was helpful and prompt, he even made a point of giving us his card in case we needed anything. Our room was a corner room with two queens and a fold out sofa (plus it had a desk, couple of side chairs, fridge, microwave, etc). It was a very spacious room and we will definitely be requesting it or similar in the future.

Checked in at this hotel but quickly checked out to move closer to my group. While this hotel is "ok" the team was phenomenal. Even with the mishap at check-in, their professionalism and eagerness to make things right speaks volumes.

This place is the standard for exemplary service. You can tell there is time spent on the fundamentals of customer service and how important it is. My wife and I was celebrating an Anniversary and stayed here for the weekend. The GM Mark and his staff went out of their way to make it a trip to remember for us. Hester was busy working but stopped to meet my wife and they really connected she set down and talked with my wife for 30 minutes. A very intelligent lady and still weeks later, my wife talks about what a phenomenal and good person she was. That’s what it’s all about. Connect with your guests and give them a stay they will not forget. For business now, this is my hotel of choice hands down

Our room was on the second floor. There is a parking garage with free parking. Key card is required to gain access to the hotel from the garage. Starbucks is served at the bar, but coffee is also available in air pots. The patio area is large with more than adequate seating and tables. Desk and staff persons were very pleasant.
