Horrible service from Staff. Couldn't have cared less that we were there. We came with a group of 17 before a concert at 4:30pm. Should have known it was not going be a good experience when we went to the bar inside to get a drink while they set up tables and they told us (after standing there for 10 minutes) that the inside bar was not open yet. We went to the outside bar only to have the bartend have to go INSIDE to get our drinks!! And I'm talking a bottle of beer and a glass of Pinot Grigio! You would have thought we were ordering some exotic fruity thing. The place was empty and yet it was after 7pm before we were able to collect our bill. This after requesting it for 45 minutes. My credit card was charged twice for two different amounts. The manager only made excuses and did nothing to hurry the process until we had to tell him that our transportation was leaving in 10 minutes. If the bill was not settled by that time then they were out of luck.

Very disappointed for the chef because the food was great - that is the only reason I give it 1 star. He or she needs to find better managment to work for. If it weren't for the outdoor bartender (Drue) we would not have had any drink service for the meal. I can understand if the place was full of people and we show up with 17 people but wow, we were there at 4:30 and the place was dead... Go to Emily's or Plum's or Luther's.

My girlfriend and I just wanted to find an easy place with a water view for lunch and this was recommended my local family. We were seated right away to a table on the patio. We were greeted by a very friendly and smiling Mandy. Crab bisque was delicious, my crab blt had a bit too much mayonnaise so it was pretty messy... Side mixed green salad came with black olives... Odd choice to pair with gorgonzola and pears. However, my gf really enjoyed her mozzarella and tomato panini. Overall, enjoyable lunch and I would return... Super casual.

After a great day on Hunting Island, we decided to get dinner at this neat looking place on the water in the great little town of Beaufort. The inside dining area was very nice looking but we decided to eat out on the patio for the view. We actually ended up wishing we had stayed inside because while outside is always fun, the patio area was a bit plastic-tabley. I'm no snob but it just seemed like a stark contract to the interior which was amazingly rich in atmosphere.

Our very friendly & attentive waiter Zack brought us the shrimp appetizer we ordered and this ended up being the highlight of the meal. This was the best, freshest shrimp we had during our week-long shrimp-frequent visit to the area. The delicious marinade was just amazing and there must have been a good pound of shrimp which could have been a meal in itself.

We ordered one of the specialty stone baked pizzas. It was quite good and the crust was crispy but the dough was a tittle dense for my taste (could be lighter). The ordered a garlic-olive-oil based selection rather than a tomato sauce variety. We probably should have ordered one with tomato sauce (our fault) since our selection seemed to be missing enough flavor. Better than average but just not great on this run.

All tolled, this place is a very easy recommend.

This is our second evening in Beaufort. Last night we had a great meal at Emily's, tonight was average. The restaurant is a converted bank with a magnificent old fashioned bar, and a terrace right on Riverside Park. But unfortunately the food was only average. We both started off with a salad, she with the Caesars which did not come with the usual dressing and used only the outer less appetizing parts of romaine lettuce. I had the mixed green salad which would have been quite good had the dressing been more interesting. The dipping olive oil was very average and no spices. We ordered a Tuscan pizza for two. It was thin crust, which we like, but the taste was quite blah, could have used more spicy sausage and tastier cheese and tomatoe sauce. Our waiter, soon to enter the air force, was very attentive. Probably the best part of the meal was a very nice Carmenere red from Chile and a bargain at $21.
