My husband and I recently spent a weekend in Beaufort SC and stayed at City Loft. This was an old motel in the heart of the historic district that has been converted to a modern boutique motel. Perfect location, great coffee shop, comfortable rooms and the absolute best staff!!! We cannot say enough about the staff and how wonderful they are to the guests who are treated like family. We suggest you stop for a picnic lunch at Old Sheldon Church on your way into Beaufort. While in Beaufort try the french pressed coffee from Java City (room service), take the bikes for a ride, go on a carriage tour, visit St. Helena's church, enjoy some sweets from the Chocolate Tree, relax in Waterfront park, dine at Breakwater, and try the Buffalo oysters at 11th Street Dockside in Port Royal. Thanks again to Matt and his superb staff for such a wonderful stay, we will be back!
