A lot of confusion at first as to the different menu offered from upstairs to down stairs. A party of 6 that did not make a reservation on Mothers Day. As we got there we were put on a waiting list and was told about an hour and a half. That was fine since we did not make reservations. We had heard nothing but good things about this place. So as we put our name in they took my phone number and you can actually see how many parties were ahead of you on the wait list. We only ended up waiting maybe about 35 minutes which we walked across the street to check out the fish market an boats. Finally got seated upstairs. Our waitress Dzenita D. was awesome and on top of everything all night. We didn't have to ask for refills, take plates away etc. If you go make sure to sit in her section.
Food- I had the stuffed shrimp recommended by Dzentia. It was delicious as I was also wanting Salmon. Guess I have to go back. 4 in our party ate the steamed lobster and one had a chicken sandwich-(not a seafood fan). This was a great overall experience.

Georges just gets better and better every year. The restaurant was recently renovated. There is a nice outdoor patio area with firepit, as well as a fireplace inside for chilly off-season dining. Food is always fresh, prepared perfectly, and served with a smile. Very reasonably priced, as well. We are locals, and this is our weekly favorite spot for dinner out.

I have been living in or near Narragansett for over 60 years and George’s has been here all that time. We stopped coming to it about 15 years ago because it was exactly the same as it had been when Eisenhower was President.

We came back a few years ago to satisfy some nostalgic ex-Rhody folk. We were pleasantly surprised to see the menu has been brought into this century. While certainly not “cutting-edge “ it was interesting. Of course the usuals RI fare is still there and quite good.

Special mention is due to the “stuffies”” and the blueberry salad. And we particularly liked our server Dzenita who was familiar and very helpful with both the menu and the drink selection. After many years, George’s is back in our dinner rotation.

Thanks for the shout out! We have tweaked the menu to go more sustainable with our seafood, done some much needed renovations, but have stayed true to our roots. We will let Dzenita know too! Thanks again and see you here soon, Kevin

It was ok. Sat upstairs. The Kale salad was $12 and it was BARE. A couple craisins, a couple pineapples, a couple almonds. Paid $15 extra for lobster salad and did not get much. What was there was flavorless. Also there were big chunks of kale...its a tough green cut it smaller! Burger was good but fries were bland. Gaililee fish sandwich was supposed to be blackened. It wasnt. It was flavorless too! This place needs to work on their flavoring. Next time we'll stick to Aunt Carries. That's where people wanted to go in the first place I'm the one who talked them into George's.

Dzenita was a wonderful server. Friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Both my granddaughter and I had a great experience. Not to mention the view. Thank you.
