The indoor pool was closed during our visit, but we weren't going to use it anyway. The atrium where the indoor pool is located is not air conditioned, so it was swelteringly hot for the walk to the elevators and then leaving the elevators to your room hallway, where it was air conditioned. Free breakfast was basic, breads, waffle maker, a few hot dishes, nothing to write home about, but adequate. Rooms could use updating, but were comfortable, mostly clean and quiet.

Ok, The Good: Nice location in downtown Warren, the center of lots of things to do like hiking and kayaking in the Kinzua area. The price was reasonable too, only about $85/night for a 2 night stay. The staff were very friendly. Rooms are reasonably sized and clean. A cool design of the hotel with half the rooms on the inside having balconies overlooking the pool area, with almost a resort feel to it. We didn't eat at the hotel bar/restaurant, but it was a nice looking place and has good reviews.

The Bad: The pool, which was apparently open when I booked the reservation 2 weeks previous, was closed indefinitely for repairs. So much for the nice ambiance of the "resort." No offer of any comp for that. The entire hotel is in bad need of maintenance and updating. It is showing its age. On the Saturday we were there in the afternoon everyone had to leave the building as something caught fire in the laundry facility and filled the hotel with smoke. Don't know how long it will take to get that smell out! We left for about 4 hours and then were allowed back in. Again, no comp offered for our inconvenience.

So overall not bad. You could stay at the Hampton Inn which I'm sure is nicer, but costs twice as much.

Room Tip: If they ever get the pool opened, ask for a room with a pool view balcony.

The room was nice, but poor maintenances through out the rest of the hotel.
The pool was out of service and needed major repairs.
A fire took place in the laundry room of the hotel, which then made everything smell like smoke.
Extremely disappointed!
Great price for an over night stay, not recommended for a family or a getaway.

My wife and I liked our room and the location of the hotel. We were disappointed the pool was closed for repairs as this is summer. I was impressed with the good selection for the free breakfast, which included scrambled eggs and sausages.

It's the best deal on a good room in the Jamestown/Warren area.

We were delighted by the spacious rooms. They were clean and well kept, beds were comfortable. The breakfast area is large and foods well spaced so it was easy to get your food and eat without being in anyone's way. They had scrambled eggs and sausage in addition to the usual cereals, breads, yogurt and waffles. Sometimes the sausage in these buffets has an "off" taste. Here it was good.

The one complaint we had was the poor ventilation in the bathroom. Once someone took a shower, everything in there was damp for hours, the floor, the mirror, toilet and walls. I don't know how they avoid mildew problems. You could see evidence of remodeling done not to professional standards, poor sheet rock repairs, sloppy painting, etc. but in general, it looked pretty good. Away from the main corridor, the halls were narrow and rather dark, which surprised me.

Room Tip: There are rooms which face the main corridor near the café. They may be noisier but they won't be on the narrow outer halls.
