This is a very, very clean well maintained property with 12 rooms. The owners live on site but are not at all intrusive. They have spent time and energy to bring this property back to life as the previous owner sorely neglected it. Stayed in room 3 for 3 nights. 5 of the rooms are accessed inside off the pleasant hallway. The rest are around the back of the property. Good towels, clean carpets, some tioletries. Excellent location to other areas of Lancaster county. Horse and buggies up and down the road. Watched one Amish farmer tilling his field for two days either mule drawn plow. Go and stay and tell your friends. 72.00 and change per night for 2 adults in King room with a sofa to boot! Right down the road from outlets. Katie's Kitchen (to die for breakfast) 2 minutes away and Sight and Sound Theater 4 minutes on same road. Go and enjoy.

The location is great. About 3 minutes from Sights and Sounds. Almost complete with the room upgrades. New management and an outstanding job on the rooms that are finished. We stayed in room 1 and it isn't finished but they are going to remodel it soon. There goes hearing the horse and buggy sound going on the road, for a little while. A great place to stay.

Room Tip: Room 1 if you like watching and hearing Amish travels.

Wanted to see how the new owners are coming with remodeling. The rooms are really nice and upgraded. New carpet, beds, redoing the bathrooms and even have a coffee pot. Some rooms are not finished yet but they are VERY nice. The new owners are very polite and friendly. I recommend this for anyone. Lower prices than most other Motels. It also has free wi-fi.

Room Tip: If you want to hear ans see the horse and buggys try for room #1 if you make reservations.

We decided to stay at Countryside Motel based on recent reviews. The new owners are in the process of updating all the rooms. We stayed in Room 10 which had been updated. The room had been recently painted and the bathroom remodeled, but the carpet has yet to be replaced. But everything was very clean, which is really important to me. The room had a firm king size bed, refrigerator and coffee maker. It was very quiet even though it is near a busy country road. It is conveniently located down the road from Sight and Sound. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose Room 9 or 10 for view of countryside.

My husband and I went away on the spur of the moment. I have always wanted to try a small motel and I'm certainly glad I stay at Countryside Motel. The owner Ed was very nice, the room very clean we will come be back in the future. It is far enough but yet close enough to everything you need in Lancaster.
