Owner description: Scale Mount Washington in one of two original 1877 cable cars for a fun and unique ride and a breathtaking view of the Pittsburgh skyline when you reach the top of the 400-foot incline. Parking available across the street from our lower station at 1197 West Carson Street.

Great way to see Pittsburgh. Need exact cash to board which is a drag and you park in a pothole filled parking lot but worth the trip. The cable car is old and the side door didn’t quite close but the sights were beautiful!

This was really a cool thing to do. And very inexpensive. The little building at the top had some old pics and info.

A joyous ride down and back with friends for a birthday celebration. Easy on and easy off on a chilly Sunday. I parked on the street for free at the top while the rest of the group found parking on the lot below. Only need an actual paper ticket one way though one pays round trip. Cool postcards of other funiculars around the world at the top. Crazy wonderful view!

Although not right in the city, this incline is worth a visit. We were able to take a public bus from our hotel to the line so we did not have to worry about parking. It is interesting to see the old mechanics at work. They only accept cash and there is no ATM at the bottom where we started (I cannot remember if there was one at the top). At the top there is a sky deck, small gift shop and artifacts. We were a bit disappointed to find that there was not much to do in the area surrounding the incline at the top. We were hoping for a coffee shop, but instead just enjoyed the views.
