The breakfast and service were excellent. Eggs bennie were super. A bit of a walk to the convention center. Pitt is an insane place to drive, even with GPS. Good galleries, reasonable car rental too. Traffic can be tough, reminded me of driving in Philly. I do love Pittsburg.

If the small, cramped room doesn’t drive you nuts, the AC unit will! This was the worst sleep experience I’ve ever had! And you are stuck in that miniature room because the rest of the hotel and bar shuts down at 10pm. Too expensive for such a disappointing stay!

The hotel was conveniently located. The staff was super friendly. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. Check in and out was a breeze, they even had a cab to me in less than 5 minutes.

Design very good, staff friendly, accessable and helpful. Rooms small but this is an old building. Liked the plant wall in the lobby and security in the elevator. Also liked that some features of the old Salvation Army Building remain. If you are accustomed to luxury hotels then this is low end but I do like the effort reinvent the affordable but safe hotel for this century.

Don’t miss this great property that is conveniently located to downtown, technology center, university and many more! Front desk staff are so friendly and helpful, onsite restaurant, or the Whale, is a must visit, and cleanliness is bar-none. I stayed here for a work trip and used the bikes to venture down to the water, explore downtown and even ride the greenway
