This state park is about 30 minutes from where we live. It is a great local park. The area is very clean. There are camping areas - nice with showers and restrooms. I have never camped overnight there but have visited friends for "day camping". You can rent several types of water crafts. There is fishing and boating. Many places to picnic. They have cabins available to rent - along the lake. I have never stayed but they look nice. There are I think 3 swimming areas and snack bar area. Near the camping area there is a small store. There are many places to hike and you can go up the water tower. For us, it's a great nature stop, just to get outside for the day.

They have a lot of spots that are mostly wooded. The lake and beach area are really nice. My only complaint would be with so many spots, it can seem crowded.

Our first camping stop on a 3 weeks journey through the USA.
Prince Gillitzin State Park is beautiful clean park with huge site. we stayed in Crooked Run Campground, site 067. It's got a nice asphalt platform and fire pit near the back of the site. Also a walking trail behind us which only took us 1 minute to get to the beach area.

We visited this area last week when visiting a friend's cabin and I have to say this area is beautiful! The trees were so colorful for the fall season and Glendale lake is so pretty! We took our son fishing here for a few hours. The area is very well maintained and there is no garbage anywhere. There are a ton of areas to fish from and several parks for other activities! Can't wait to go back!
