We spent one night at this Inn. The location was perfect-walking distance to everything. The Inn is a pretty building with a lot of character. However, the suite we stayed in definitely could use some TLC! The hall carpet was gross and desperately in need of a cleaning! The decor in the sitting room of our suite was old and mismatched and the faucet in the shower didn't work properly. The worst part was that we were cold all night long. Extra blankets would have helped or a much heavier comforter would have been nice. There didn't seem to be much heat on at night. On a positive note, the breakfast was very good. We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant, so can't comment on that. Overall, for the money we expected better.

We were two couples looking for dinner with no reservations on a sat night in New Hope to no avail. When we entered we were a little nervous that the restaurant was so empty. No need - this turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Beautiful presentation, excellent flavor. We started with salad of Apple, asparagus and spinach- excellent vinaigrette. We all ordered something different - I had a pork chop that was thick and juicy with a lovely mix of vegetables in a delicious reduction sauce. Yum! My husband had the jambalaya which he really liked - had quite a kick and very generous portion. They have a full bar - and coffee is French press - everyone gets their own pot! Pumpkin praline cheesecake rounded out the meal, although we shared a piece as we were so full- but truly sinful. We were able to speak to the chef - who's passion is evident in all the details of his food. Sure that the dining room will not be empty next time we're around!

Came for dinner and it was pretty awful. The food was cold and unimaginative. Really nothing stood out. They were out of everything that was offered on the menu. They had no brandy for the sangria. Where out of 3 main course dishes out if the 5 that were offered. Will not recommend to anyone.

this was our favorite place in new hope, it was closed for about a year and then opened with new owners. we had a group of six. the waitress was very good and knowledgeable about all the dishes. i had scallops that was very good but some of the people had corn potato chowder and they complained that is was bland. the place has both indoor and outdoor seating, there was entertainment the night we went with an outdoor bar. they need outdoor heaters for cool nights. we are going to give them another chance because the overall place is beautiful.

I have spent my birthday weekend in New Hope for many years. We used to try different Bed and Breakfasts every year. However, the year we stayed in the Mansion Inn changed all that. It became my favorite place to stay. It's a quaint inn, with beautifully appointed rooms. It has a lovely patio bar, which had live music on Friday and Saturday nights this year. And it's located right in town - next to Marsha Brown's, one of the nicest restaurants in New Hope. Unfortunately, we were forced to change inns for a couple of years after the Mansion had a fire. But, thankfully, it reopened this year, and it's just as wonderful as it always was. If you really want to treat yourself, stay here.
