Headed home through Morgantown and wanted to pick up a sandwich for lunch. Stopped in when we noticed the sign for Nuse's Deli. Parked in the rear and entered through the dining room . Looked over the menu and chose the Turkey and Ham Capicola specialty Hoagie. We ordered a large so we could share. The price was $8.95. When we arrived home we opened the package and was quite surprised at the amount of turkey and ham in the sandwich. It also had x-sharp provolone cheese in pieces tucked in and around the sandwich. My husband found the cheese was too sharp for his taste and took most of it out. I liked the taste of the cheese but I think there was a little too much. It would have been better with slightly less so the taste of the Turkey and Ham Capicola would shine. Overall quite a good sandwich for the price. In fact, I saved half of my half for an evening snack.

The owner always is so appreciative of our business. The staff is pleasant and efficient. We often eat in and just as often pick up and take home. It seems every time they close for a vacation, we really are wanting a hoagie and then we really are bummed if he sign says closed for the week!

The service was friendly and fast. The bread was fresh and soft. I shared a delicious large cheesesteak with my daughter, my husband loved his cheesesteak with onions, and my son enjoyed his meatball sub. We will definitely stop again if in the area!

Over the years we've travelled through Morgantown in our comings and goings to and from the PA turnpike. Having grown up in the Philly area, we always stopped at Nuse's for a cheesesteak - it was like the last cheesesteak outpost before heading into the western part of PA. We had an opportunity to be in the area, and decided to head to Nuse's for lunch. It's a small residential building that faces the road that leads to the Morgantown turnpike entrance. It's humble facade has been crowded by a modern drug store and other newer buildings - but its charm still calls out to the local sandwich seeker. While simple, it's clean, well lit and well kept. There are booths in nookish areas for a quiet lunch, or you can order take out. While we were there we sampled the cheesesteak, italian hoagie and french fries. The food was cooked and served to us piping hot in our booth. We had the 8" cheesesteak, and they have a 12" if you want more. The meat was finely chopped, juicy and tasty - and the roll was just right. Rolls come from the Conshohocken bakery and they have just the right philly consistency - light dusting of ground corn meal on the bottom, just enough texture on the outside crust while the inside has the right amount of chew. The italian hoagie was packed with freshly cut italian meats - not standard cold cuts, and the french fries were hot and crispy - not greasy. While you're eating you can hear the hustle and bustle of the kitchen - phone calls, pick up orders, and the metal spatula on the grill sound of steak meat being chopped. Anyone who knows a philly cheesesteak, knows that its the local sandwich shops that make the greatest sandwiches. Our lunch was excellent, and just as we remembered. As we headed west on the PA turnpike towards home, we knew we wouldn't see a cheesesteak as good as Nuse's until we headed east again.
