My husband and I stayed here for a local getaway night. The centuries-old building is beautiful. Its deep window sills, narrow hallways and steep stairs gave us a sense of life in 17th century Pennsylvania. But some basic amenities were missing: no lamps by the chair or sofa in the sitting room, and only one bedside light that didn't work at all. Also, the bathroom was so tight, my 5'11" husband couldn't sit on the commode without hitting his knees on the opposite wall. Overall, the inn was lovely, and the staff were friendly. We would stay there again and recommend it to others, but ask for a suite w/ a roomier bathroom and plenty of lighting.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite with a view and a roomy bathroom

It's a very old Inn... Quaint, Charming, not very modern but it does have wifi. The staff (bar, restaurant and hotel) are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The bar has a relaxed, friendly local patrons vibe. I would stay again.

We had not been to the General Warren Inne in years.... went with another couple who also had great memories of this Restaurant. Setting is lovely, service attentive but food is lacking. Steak au Poive ordered medium well came out well done. Small tasteless butterflied disaster. Beef Wellington was bland. Ceasar salad gets a b+ but is actually too big proportion wise. Other appetizers were weak. $20 bottle of wine was $50. They've got to be kidding. Time to find a new Chef or creative kitchen staff. We just can't justify $200 a couple for this experience. Done.

The food, service and ambience here are second to none. I have been here several times for dinner and highly recommend this restaurant. They have a great menu and wine list. There are several tables near a fire place that makes it very cozy in the colder weather

The space is so quaint and hostoric, from the late 1700's I believe. The smell of real burning firewood when you enter during the winter from the fireplace was so nice and refreshing . The rooms -main, private and bar area are all very neat and very well maintained.
The food was excellent, from the steaks to the Halibut and theshrimp- excellently prepared and presented by the staff.
The waitress we had Karen ( and her colleagues) did a phenomenal job.
The deserts- the bomb, the creme brulee, the cheesecake all delicious.
It started snowing while we were there and the views from the window were magical.......
Thank you for the great experience and look forward to coming again.
